Kelly Gendreau, LMFT

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT#129357 in the state of California, and a Registered Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Telehealth Provider in the state of Florida, meaning I can see clients via telehealth both in CA and in FL. I graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with my M.S. in Psychology, emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, in 2017.

I completed my MFT traineeship with Pomona Unified School District, working with children 1st through 12th grade, and I completed my MFT associate’s hours working at children’s and adult’s outpatient clinics, with Enki Health Services, Inc., assisting at-risk children and their families, as well as young adults and older adults.

My approach to therapy is very Humanistic and Person-Centered in nature. I enjoy exploring my clients’ goals and their needs from therapy, then working collaboratively to assist them in achieving those goals. I have a very laid back personality, am flexible in my treatment approach, and enjoy utilizing humor (when appropriate) in session. Building strong therapeutic relationships with my clients is of great importance to me, in order to build a strong foundation for healing and creating positive change.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time outdoors (hiking or just enjoying nice weather), taking care of my animals (cats, dogs, horses, miniature pigs, and lizards), and feeding my boba obsession! I currently specialize my work as a therapist working with clients impacted by grief and loss, and have a special place in my heart for working with clients with pet loss.
