Integrating loss into your life to find peace and meaningful connection

Losing a loved one is a heart shattering experience. So much has changed and now it's hard to fathom how you are going to pick yourself up and ever feel even close to being "okay" again. It hurts, it's not fair, and you would do anything for just one more moment with them. You are afraid that the memories you have of them will fade and then there will be nothing left to hold onto. But remember, you are NOT expected to "move on" from your loss, only to "move forward".

I will work with you to develop new ways to maintain a meaningful bond with your loved one and to memorialize them in a way special to you. Experiencing a loss can often leave individuals feeling broken, misunderstood, lost, and alone, especially if their loss is not taken seriously by others around them. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental environment for grievers to explore their losses, process emotions, identify healthy coping skills, and make meaning of their losses experienced.

Taking the first step by reaching out for support can help you work through your grief to not feel so “stuck” and to begin the process of learning how to integrate loss into your life and to move forward (not move “on”) through life, while continuing to honor your loved one. Grief comes in many different forms and no two people’s grieving process look exactly alike. We will work together to find an approach that fits who you are and what feels most comfortable for you.
